Mystery of the Runaway Letrabytes: Inclusive Assessment of Phonological Awareness With Tangible Gamification

The development of phonological awareness, i.e. the metacognitive skill that allows thinking and manipulating language structure, from an early age is mandatory for acquisition literacy skills. Multisensory stimulation, curiosity interest are fundamental learning. In doing so, Communication Technologies have a key role because learning-oriented use can encourage current digital natives’ thinking. This paper presents game with tangible technology designed both intervention diagnostic, formative summative evaluation. user experience was carried out during two weeks through multiple case study four kindergarten children. A multimedia adventure presented in which they had to solve awareness challenges manipulation achieve final goal. observation recorded evaluation model, allowing analysis pre- post-intervention data after triangulation subsequent qualitative analysis. results show improvement as well gamified marks. These promising outcomes support such methodologies learner-centered education model.
